Great Smoky Mountain National Park 2026

In April 2026 I made my first trip to the Smokies. It is truly a photographer’s paradise, especially in April. Endless hazy mountain ridges, intimate boulder filled streams line with rhododendrons and dogwoods, a riot of wildflowers carpeting the forest floor, bears at every turn, a rich human history, and the greatest biodiversity in North America. Here is my take on the Smokies.
