October: View of Mount Washington from Iron Mountain in Autumn

The White Mountains are famous for their fall foliage displays. I enjoy this somewhat far view of Mount Washington from Iron Mountain because it includes a lot of the deciduous forests in the foreground. Most of Mount Washington and the Presidential range is actually comprised of evergreens so no real color change up close. Snow and ice are visible after light accumulations at the higher summits. Not enough for the epic “snowfolliage” shot I was hoping for that morning, but I still enjoyed the scene.
