Shadow Lake, John Muir Trail

A typical summer day on the JMT, with a puffball cloud behind hikers lounging at Shadow Lake in Inyo National Forest in the Sierra Nevada. What I didn't realize is that those puffballs turn into thunderstorms in less than an hour as I got the pleasure of learning first hand.
