Another goal of my 2022 project was to capture better images of loons. This photo is one of my best from 2019. The behavior and pose in this shot work well, but the biggest thing I realized I could improve was the background. Though the water in this shot isn't a bad background, it does have some distracting white ripples. This chick is older, pushing towards the 2 week mark and was getting too old and big to ride much longer.
