I have always loved this spot and wanted to get good light like this in winter. I got the chance on a 9 degree air temp morning with gusty winds making the experience of capturing this less pleasant than the photo looks. Having a migraine didn't help either. Spotty snow showers were hitting the coast so I only had a few seconds where the Beehive was lit up fully like this around sunrise.
